How We Started

The climb4the fallen Group was started in 2012 by a group of local firefighters as a way to give back in our communities. We all have a strong passion and desire to ensure the 343 FDNY Firefighters that gave their lives on 9-11-2001 are NEVER FORGOTTEN.

In 2012 we had the honor to host the 1st Annual Tucson 9-11 Memorial Stair Climb (TMSC) at 5151 E Broadway in Tucson, AZ. This event provided the local firefighters a way to remember their fallen brothers by climbing 110 stories at the local high-rise. The first year over 90 firefighters from surrounding areas came out to be apart of this humbling tribute.

This event gives the firefighters a chance to recreate the events of 9-11 as the FDNY heroes responded to the Twin Towers. Each firefighter carries a lanyard that has the sketch of one of the fallen 343 as a tribute to the ultimate sacrifice they made. Firefighters also wear turnout gear and carry tools, just as the FDNY firefighters did in 2001.

Our mission is to help the selfless First Responders that serve our families, friends and complete strangers. We strive to provide comfort and support in the times of need and give back in the times of normality.
